Treating a panini press so things won't stick

We have a dual/split panini press

Half works great, but the other half EVERYTHING sticks to. Like spiderman hands. Comically.

Any ideas on what to apply/treat the heating surfaces with to help out?

My supplier used to have a quick release that worked decently- but that side of the press was always worse and the supplier no longer has the "meh" product

i know this is stupid... BUT i have a 4.5 hour layover in Detroit - send me for a good LUNCH

i don't count it as visiting a state/country if i DON'T leave the airport.

Amazingly, I've been to 42 states, and NOT Michigan - but I'm flying through this week.

Land at noon, fly out again 4:30pm. Can someone recommend EITHER a cool place to see - or a cool place to eat OR BOTH - that i can get to within a reasonable 30-ish minutes from the airport?

I don't know the DTW area - i'm not saying i've GOT to go to downtown Detroit - but i do have to leave the airport...

Is this stupid? 30 minutes to get somewhere, an hour or so to eat, 30 minutes back, still leaves me 2.5 hours to clear security again and get to the next flight... It is a weekday - but it's totally avoiding rush hour times...

8 hour layover at JFK - what can i do - is it enough time?

I have a Europe trip planned and my flight ended up with an 8 hour layover in JFK.

I didn't choose it - it just happened.

I've done NYC - i like NYC, i just like to give myself more than 8 hours there. :)

With the transit time into the city i wasn't sure if it was worth it for a good meal and a quckie walk through the city, or if there were things to do nearer JFK that are worth it

I also have NO IDEA what security times are like (land around noon, fly out 8pm on a tuesday or wednesday night). One of our crew doesn't have TSA PreCheck so it'll be the main security line.

I don't want to hurry and force things, but if there's a treasure i can see or do that i otherwise wouldn't get a chance to, it'll be a cool way to start the trip

Thanks all

A ridiculous and untrue EZ cater complaint - how to handle?

Two decades at this. We cater in a year what many restaurants do in total volume a year. We know our 💩

Had a delivery recently - they called us saying we didn't leave the meats- cashed EZ saying the same thing

It was close, we ran the meats back out

My driver- 6 years experience said- "I'm telling you, they got their meats"

I just went back and watched the cameras. They got the meats. They were loaded in the hot bag. I obviously don't have camera footage of the setup, but I can show them getting loaded along with other food

I don't want the ding on our history. How hard do i fight this? Do i fight to get rid of the negative mark- or doi take it further and demand payment for the extra/double meat?

Worst kicker- almost wanted to leave this out- it literally went to another restaurant...

Don't ask - but I'm doing a last minute trip to Dublin (from the USA) with my college aged children. As in - book, fly in a week, enjoy...

Thinking of AirBnb (cheaper for two rooms than hotel?) - I think i'd like to be in the "heart of things" but is there ONE AREA to stay in - or should i stay in two different areas for two days each? I'd like to spend 200 €/night if an option

Again - last minute, wonderful opportunity, i know ZERO. I personally HATE touristy areas (in non-English speaking places i prefer places that DON'T speak English over touristy English-speaking areas)

I prefer to just walk around and stumble on things, versus having a minute-by-minute itinerary

I feel like i HAVE to see the big sites, but I'm fine if i miss half of them. I also prefer a local, vibrant community to a stark, touristy, fake area. I DON'T want a place with T-shirt stands with "I ❤️IRELAND" shirts every 50 metres (see, i said METRES instead oF FEET or YARDS)

Had a group reach out - a college group. They want to do a large to-go/pick-up order

But they want ALL kid's meals.

Most restaurants do kids meals to get the parents- not that it's a loss leader, but the kids meals have higher food costs and lower profit than other items

What do you do when someone wants 50+ of them....??
