BAH Help

Hello all!

Im shipping out in October and have been maintaining my lease for years now and working out the extension for the next 12 months before I ship out (lease technically ends in November but it gets renewed every year).

I know reserves is approved for BAH on orders over 30 days which I’m also aware RTC, A School and FMTB is. My recruiter seems to be unfamiliar with the process, but HM2 at my office said that I am approved for BAH and to put it in my packet.

Reaching out to ask if there’s a way to make sure I get this BAH and confirmation before I ship out, last thing I want is to get stuck with rent while I’m away for the better part of a year, I also really need to keep a residency in my city for my city’s fire department (I’m an EMT civilian side).

Any guidance or help with this is greatly appreciated.

Consequences of Not Writing Chart following Termination

Hello,

Was seperated from a somewhat infamous agency in PA hours after a shift, with two unfinished PCRs. Immediately lost access to ESO so I wasn’t even able to complete these. Now they’re calling me about 1 month later saying if I don’t complete these charts they “have no option but to report it to the state”. Told the agency in question they revoked my access, so they went ahead and reset the MFA so that I could get back in. I intend to write these charts, but I’m wondering what teeth their threats even have.

Further they insist on paying me for this time, which could impact unemployment claims etc. I don’t want or need their money.

HM MSRON Questions

Hey All,

My ship date is coming up quick. I’m on a reserve HM contract with FMTB as my c school. I’m 25, pretty fit from MMA, and an experienced civilian EMT with my national registry current. I’m getting a little anxious because I want to actually do Navy shit in the reserve but everyone tells me that it won’t be that at all and no matter how motivated I am I’m just going to sit in a classroom during drill weekends for 6 years.

My question is this, understanding that MSRON units actually do the job during drill weekend and AT, how is the path to actually get there? Once I’m finished a / c school how much control do I actually have? Will the fact I needed some waivers DQ me from MSRON? Are there other alternative paths to make the most out of a reserve career without just giving up my life in EMS and going active?

Alpha Rex or OEM?

Hello! One of the aftermarket headlights that came with my Tacoma died and is irreparable. My options are these for $250 or OEMs that are pretty well used for $120. What would you do?
