Why I ask for suggestion is that, I have changed country in between and visited 4 doctors. Now that I am not sure, if the treatment given is right or wrong. I need help. Please let me know if this is ok. What have you been prescribed. Any better alternative I should ask Doctor?

I have diagnosed for UC at end of 2024. Since then I was taking 4.5g of Mesalasine Salofalk granules every morning.

I was still getting flares. I took Azithromycin 6 days due to E.coli found in stool on August 2025. Flares stopped.

I almost ate everything. Negative tests for stool Calprotectin and no blood found in stool.

Due to stress or fasting (don't know which one), I got flares again. Mild one though. It stayed.

July 1st, 2026, I got sigmoidoscopy due to heavy blood loss and found UC has intensified. But 3g per day of Mesalasine didn't work. Also suppositories.

I started taking prednisone 20mg. Doctor suggested to take 30mg. I experienced hand tremors on the first day of dose. So I took only 20mg. Things stopped.

Next day I stop prednisone, flare comes back again. Doctor told me to take 20 days of prednisone. I started again

Did anyone take health insurance newly with Ulcerative Colitis?

I was diagnosed with UC since 2024 end. Cal protection was above 800. I had urgency to go to toilet only for some countable days. It got better with food and fasting or stopping raw salads. I was eating raw salads one meal a day. Everything started since then. I wanted to be healthy but got this disease.

I ate 5 days Azithromycin on August 2025 due to Ecoli in stool. Everything stopped. All flares. No blood in stool.

It was good for 3 months. Cal protection still maintained under 50.

Jan 2026 it started again with stress. I had flares. Doctor asked me to eat more doses of mesalazin (I was taking 1.5g of Salofalk granules every morning). She told me to take 3 of it. It was getting better but blood didn't stop. Very tiny mucus dark blood spots have been found since Jan. Not everyday but time to time. Seeing continuously blood everyday. And now I see blood drops after bowel movement.

I eat isabgol to stop constipation. So. The question.

Doc1 in Germany: I have special case of Colitis but it's not continuous in large intestine. Found on upper part of large intestine and the end

Doc2 in India: after colonoscopy it looked everything clean. I don't have UC. Stop taking meds. 2026 April

I tried Azithromycin 5 days by myself but no improvement. Could see still blood.

Doc 3 in India with sigmoidoscopy: possible UC. Could spot inflammation, ulcers and redness. 2026 June 30.

Anybody faced something like this? Doc 3 suggested Wysolone 20mg besides mesalazin Salofalk 1.5g

How to tackle this? Any advice? Is it really UC?
