Going out w makeup

I really don’t have the confidence to go out wearing makeup. I don’t want this to sound pick-me or anything, but I genuinely want to feel pretty and expressive instead of feeling plain or “boring.” Even my friends agree that I’m actually good at makeup whenever I post looks online, but I can never gather the courage to wear it outside. A huge part of it is my conservative parents. They constantly taunt me for being “too girly” or feminine and act like I should look as plain and boyish as possible. After hearing that over and over, it’s hard not to feel self-conscious.

I just want advice on how to stop caring so much about other people’s opinions and finally feel confident enough to go out wearing makeup without feeling ashamed or judged.

Rct pain

I’m 19 and got into an accident that broke my right second molar. I previously had a root canal on my first molar with a different dentist, and that experience was completely different. She used anesthesia, completed it in two sessions, and the pain was minimal and manageable.

With my current dentist, I’ve had three RCT sessions so far. During the first session, he used anesthesia, and while there was some discomfort, it was tolerable. However, during the last two sessions, he did not use any anesthesia at all. He used a screw-like instrument inside the tooth and another injection-type tool during cleaning, and both sessions were extremely painful.

Before starting treatment, my parents told me that anesthesia usually isn’t used during root canals, so I mentally prepared myself for some level of pain and discomfort. I expected pressure, sensitivity, maybe even moderate pain. But what I experienced felt far beyond that. The pain during and after these sessions has been genuinely unbearable.

Since the last session on May 16, the pain has not properly gone away. It’s a constant throbbing and stabbing pain that only becomes bearable if I take Zerodol-SP. The pain radiates through the treated tooth area and sometimes lasts the entire day and night. And is still hurting (18th may) After each session, my mouth also develops a strange smell specifically around that tooth, which concerns me.

I’ve also started questioning the hygiene and professionalism of the treatment environment. The dentist’s hands often smelled strongly of sweat during procedures, and overall the experience has made me increasingly uncomfortable and anxious about continuing treatment.

I was supposed to go for my 4th RCT session today, but I cancelled it because I’m honestly scared of going through the same pain again. It hurts alot. What should I do?

Root canal treatment

I am 19, Got into an accident that broke my right 2nd molar. I also had a root canal on my 1st molar with a different dentist.

For that RCT, she used anesthesia and did two sessions, and it didn’t hurt at all.

With my current dentist, I’ve had three RCT sessions. In the first session, he used anesthesia and it was only mildly painful, maybe around 30%, but still manageable.

In the last two sessions, though, he didn’t use anesthesia. He used a screw-like tool inside the tooth and did the procedure, and it hurt a lot. The pain lasted through the night and into the next day until I took painkillers.

Today, he again used an injection-type tool and did something similar, still without anesthesia. These last two sessions have been extremely painful. The pain doesn’t go away after the appointment and becomes a constant throbbing, stabbing sensation.

I like dragons.

Lately, I have been trying to remain consistent with my art. Whenever I begin drawing, I become entirely absorbed in it, only to abandon it for a year or two before returning again. Each return feels as though I am starting anew, which is rather exhausting. Does this happen to you as well? And if so, what do you usually do in such situations?
