The dome boots came in! My wife and I got each other an entry pair as anniversary gifts, excited to wear the hell out of these.

Blood core leather still not giving it up! These have been worn a lot over the last 7 months and still looking clean. They got their first proper cleaning and conditioning last week, and have broken in really nicely. Probably could have gone a half size shorter, but they are super comfortable on long days and dress up or down really easily. Probably going to enter them in the pre-worn dome this year and see if the red core will show.

Finally paid off! I’m pretty proud of getting a 4-year loan done in a year and a half. It’s a 2015 access cab, contractor package with no rear seats, and a 5MT. Currently at 192,000.

Pics show where we started and where we’re at now. Mods have been minimal - all control arms were frozen on purchase, so it’s got new OEM uppers and lowers, and Bilstein 4600s all around. Replaced the front pads and rotors myself, as well as the oil in the diffs, transfer case, and transmission. Got the cap for $120 on Craigslist, the wheels for $80 on Marketplace, and built a camp platform in the bed. It’s been perfect for offroading out west, even at stock height, and it’s been death packed with A/V gear a time or two. Here’s to another 200,000 miles!

Spent Memorial Day hiking up to Hanging Lake! Excellent day for it, and the boots were perfect for the steep climb.
