before watching the backrooms movie i binged Kane's videos on YT, after watching i wanted to try to rework his videos into a more movie like structure, i do think this edit works better after you watch the a24 movie but you can still watch this without spoiling anything from Kane's movie. My Edit, like Kane's series, focuses on the Async corporation and their discovery and early days with the Backrooms and the consequences that follow opening the door to a place like this.

I used footage from Kane's web series in chronological order however some of the found footage segments are placed into my edit out of order to help with pacing since they are mainly isolated, pretty much everything from Async's perspective with the hazmat teams are entirely chronological. the reason for this is to help with the pacing and to prevent it from becoming repetitive as the 3 found footage videos are pretty much isolated in their original state

I've included songs and brief scenes from the a24 movie into my edit, mostly audio,

I've added music to most of the silent scenes

some of the longer walking sequences are trimmed and cut with music,

I've tried to keep every element from his series that stuck with me and trimmed parts i feel aren't entirely necessary,

This is my first ever post on this sub and my first attempt at a feature length edit.

before watching the backrooms movie i binged Kane's videos on YT, after watching i wanted to try to rework his videos into a more movie like structure, i do think this edit works better after you watch the a24 movie but you can still watch this without spoiling anything from Kane's movie.
