My 12U daughter is on a new competitive team this year on which she plays goalie and forward. There are a couple girls on the team who constantly are making mean comments to her while playing, even when she has played great during the games. She is really taking it to heart and ends up crying after games. I want to go to her coach but my daughter is insistent that I don’t, and that may be the wrong way to handle it. We are at the beginning of a year long season and I don’t not want her to have to put up with this all season long. It’s making her hate playing.

I’m at the end of month 3 and have noticed my BP is way down. Before starting my BP had crept up to the 130/89 range. One of the main reasons I wanted to loose weight was to improve it. I just took my BP and it was 104/69. I have lost 25 lbs but this improvement seems almost unbelievable. I don’t know if my BP has ever been better, even as a college athlete. I’ve read that the BP improvements are just from weight loss, but this seems like better improvement than just from weight loss.

We live at the end of a court and our neighbor has asked the city for a variance to put in a shed in the front side yard. Basically it will be right out of our front window because of how the houses are oriented. We just received the letter and the public meeting already happened, so we weren’t even given the opportunity to attend.

We also have an HOA. I’m debating how much of a stink to make about this. We don’t want to start a neighbor war, but I have never seen a shed in a front yard. Has anyone ever seen a shed in someone’s front/side yard? Would a city actually approve this?
