Question on Trails in general starting with Cold Steel 3

So I'm on CS3.. I'm only on Chapter 1-2 so far BUT one thing I've noticed unlike earlier trails games is that most of the stuff in the game is finally on the minimap. and by most I just mean hidden quests, books, side objectives (munk for example). Is this game reasonably able to be 100% cleared without a guide? Previous games I feel the answer to that was "absolutely not at all". But am I Crazy for thinking that with CS3, it's starting to be possible?

Note I'm playing on Switch.. so actual 100% doesn't matter again until Reverie.. just curious more than anything.

EU store regulation (digital only PlayStation)

So of course people are hoping Sony will change course. I’m doubting it. Though one thing is clear.. if they don’t, more countries/governments have to join the EU in forcing companies to allow alternative digital stores, like EU did with Apple. Whether that means parity with shops like Amazon while giving them full autonomy over pricing, or an API framework for anyone to create a store front..

I’ve always said.. the issue isn’t preservation.. preservation will continue just fine. It’s not even entirely about even owning your game outright (again, see preservation). The biggest issue by far as many have pointed out is Sony will have a literal monopoly on game sales, something at least a few governing bodies have said is not ok. We need more governing bodies to join in on this. And while I don’t expect the corrupt US government to.. the hope is whoever wins as governor in California can get a law passed which of effect would affect the entire US

Audio delay with ARC and HomePod mini stereo pair

Update: ok so yes this isn’t an Apple issue per se (and I didn’t really think it was). Mostly just posted here to see if other folks with a similar issue had found an answer. In my case I DID!!!

I have a 2018 roku tv and buried away in the phone app is an audio delay feature. You have to run it a few times (oddly) but it runs with sound through ARC (so my HomePods) and uses your camera to sync to flashes on the tv. Doing this I’ve gotten sync on antenna tv not quite perfect but drastically better than it was.. consoles seem to be significantly better as well.

So yes depending on your tv check either in the settings or the tv’s phone app to see if there is a delay calibration tool in there.
——- end update

So I am pretty sure I know the answer, but just checking in here to see if I might be wrong and there is something I can do

My only audio in the living room is my HomePod mini stereo pair. Playing anything through Apple TV it’s flawless (wireless audio sync was run).

I just upgraded from a 4k 1st gen that I’ve had since launch to a 3rd gen. Was excited because I get ARC and can have my antenna TV and consoles over my HomePods now. It works except…

Delay. In video games without “graphical lip sync” (aka mouths just move anime style) it’s a bit noticeable. In actual lip sync content (some games, and antenna TV) it’s pretty noticeable.

My guess is this is just the delay from the Apple TV to the HomePods and that Apple can’t delay the video from the TV or console (because it can’t)

Does a newer TV with eARC improve this? Is this just the nature of using HomePods with ARC from the Apple TV?

So I’m looking for a good mixed-use monitor for my Mac. Text looks good. Colors are accurate. Games look good. Not trying to break the bank. I think I’ve settled on mini-LED over OLED. A few models look great and all similar but now today the KTC M27P6 is on sale for $399. On paper the only thing sun-par on it is 60w PD (my M1 Max can consume as high as 90w streaming and gaming). Aside from that however on paper everything else is good.

Can anyone vouch for the good or bad on this specifically for Mac usage?

My Tesla Model 3 Performance died on a flooded street. Driven through plenty of water before (obviously as little as possible) but this was the time that was too much/deep/whatever. Car isn't literally gone, but repairs are $35k so insurance company is totaling it.

Insurance co (progressive) isn't being too terrible, but I feel they are definitely trying to lowball me. Concerns:

Only exact model year chosen. Because of my trim (Performance) this dramatically reduces available comps in the area. Increasing years adds about the same number of cars per year (single digits). Model year on Tesla doesn't seem to drastically affect price either (less so than like miles it seems)

I purchased FSD for $6000 and provided the invoice. They evaluated it at $1990. Not sure how depreciation applies to features.. so I'm not sure if this is good, bad or normal.

Their highest value was only $21k despite there being two other vehicles in the same year higher than that. There are of course newer model year (1-2) that are even higher, with lower miles, but again I don't know how formulas would adjust for that.

And of course they included JD Power valuation in there, which is $1k lower than the cheapest one they actually found.

Lastly.. it's odd that they scored my car as perfect in all categories, but some of their comps were absolute shit in pictures.. heavy wear and tear to the point of damage in some cases. is this just a typical insurance thing?

by my rough guesstimate (unprofessional) they are legitimately coming in $2-3k under reasonable. Is that much worth the money (and time) to get an independent adjuster?
