We bought a house using FHA, but at the time I did not know that PMI never falls off for FHA loans. I’m realizing we’re locked into our monthly payment and although we can comfortably afford it, I wonder if we should have saved for a couple more years to secure a good rate on a conventional loan. Any advice? Will a refinance be worth it in the future or am I fucked?

My husband had to go to a specialist weekly for a year or so. We just found out he owes a large medical bill because his doctor charged him a co pay for every visit but didn’t have him pay at the appointment. They just added it to the file and then mailed him a bill for $1600….It’s been more than four years. Should we just bite the bullet and pay this or is there usually room for negotiation?

Has anyone ever had a lender back out of funding last minute? I am closing on a house and just have all this anxiety about the lender dropping out of my credit dips or something like that.
