Even as a teenager, Bobby was such a good kid.

I know this is supposed to be the moment when he "nuts up," but I think by that point he'd done most of his nutting up already. Sure he's not jumping for joy at the prospect of getting a job, but he still goes out, finds one without difficulty, gives his first paycheck to his parents of his own accord because they need it more, excels at his job, and decides that this is his calling and this is where he wants to be.

If anything, I feel like this is one of those moments where Hank/the writing/the status quo forgets just how often Hank has seen Bobby "in the zone" and has to remember he's proud of his son.
