I have to know, did a single person even get this 😭 please brag here if you did I have to know what my chances of standby are. I’m so curious if they did the same number of reservations as last time and standby will be easy or if they gave out way more this year

Groups that help each other with VQs?

Hey! I'm going solo this year and just saw the release of all the pins begin offered by DSSH, DEC, and WDI. I'm wondering if anyone knows of/is part of a group that helps everyone get into a virtual queue? it's extremely hard to do on my own and im quite desperate for some of these pins (+ dont have the funds to buy resale). Thanks!

ADA Hall H Line Group Discord Server - Last Call

Hey guys! This is a last call if you'd like to join our line group for Saturday to get into the Marvel Hall H panel. We have a small group right now and are looking for a few more people to sign up for shifts, so feel free to join the server if you'd like and chat with us about the process in there! We also have channels for the other hall h days if that interests you. Thanks!

Best. Day. EVER!!! (collection)

Finally went through and reorganized my Tangled pin collection (sorry the photo is kinda bad). This is my favorite movie of all time and this was so so fun to put together. My collection is 2 years in the making! Only resale I bought was the DSSH collection from an awesome pin trader over on insta. Everything else was traded or retail! Desperately hoping to complete the adorbs of this set one day. The character frames on the left and the tower frames on the bottom I think I will finish by the end of the year! Yay :D

ADA Hall H Line Group Discord Server!

Alright! The full schedule is now out which means it's time to start forming line groups! This is my first time trying to get into hall h and I thought it would be nice to create a server for us to help each other get into each panel. I made this with Saturday specifically in mind because I think it's the only day that they will quickly run out of wristbands, but each day is on there for planning. Please feel free to join!

*keep in mind this is an ADA line group ONLY and is also just for hall h. If you are needing a line group for the general line, look to the main SDCC discord server :)

Hall H ADA line group?

Basically title. I'm not sure if there are line groups for the ADA line like there are for the general line. I am pretty desperate to get into Saturday's hall H but don't think it's gonna be possible if I have to wait on my own. Just curious if anyone knows of any established groups? thank you :)

UPDATE: I've decided to just make a group on my own lol. Once the schedule is fully out, I think I'll make a small discord server for whoever wants to join. We can all talk about holding spots and trading shifts and such from there. I'm waiting to post the link so that we have 100% of the information needed to start planning!

PJO Activation coming to San Diego

During SDCC, Percy Jackson will have another big presence! A signing was confirmed on Tuesday and we now have confirmation of a panel and an activation. Good news too, you don’t have to have tickets to the convention to take part in the activation! Be warned however that the line last year got up to a 7-8 hour wait time.

PJO confirmed presence at SDCC

The cast of Percy Jackson is now confirmed to be at SDCC on Thursday, July 23rd. They are in the exclusives portal with a signing opportunity which means, more likely than not, a panel will be occurring on the same day (before or after the signing). It is unclear yet if they will be hosting another offsite experience :) a trailer drop could be happening on this day, or it could be happening at D23. But the fact that they aren't skipping SDCC means they might be announcing something at least.

hey yall! I thought I'd share how my VIP experience went for the tour. my show was at the dolby theater in Hollywood, night 2 for reference.

I bought the mirrorball dreamin' package which for me came out to about $515 including fees. this put me in the third row. I want to say, before I get into this, the tour staff and dolby staff were all extremely kind. Everything on their end was done on time and efficiently. They were always happy to help people out and clearly cared about giving the VIP guests attention. I'm sure the GA guests were given the same treatment, but I only observed what was going on during the hour or so before VIP really started.

I have to admit, I think the whole "interactive experience" thing was a total miss for me. I'm not sure if this has evolved over the tour, but for my show, we did charades with the cast. however, with 200 people, this doesn't exactly work. it felt like the cast didn't really care to be doing the game. if they weren't up to play, they weren't really engaged all that much. and the concept itself leaves so many people out. sure, its fun to have a smaller setting with the dancers, but a game show just wasn't the move imo. I'd say maybe like 10 people in that audience had the opportunity to get involved. Let me tell you, it is not fun to try and play along when the dancers aren't even looking in your direction. what am I supposed to do, give clues to the air? lol. plus, depending on where you sat, you only interacted with maybe 1 or 2 cast members. honestly, I would've loved for them to just do a meet and greet and forego the entire pre-show thing. or if they really wanted to do a pre-show, do a q&a and take live questions. the game show is like the worst possible option.

As for the photos, that felt dehumanizing as hell. I know it was advertised as a photo op and I did not go into it thinking I'd have a full conversation with the cast. however, I don't think it was too much to expect a hi. I walked up and was only greeted by Alan, Robert, and Witney. Not one other person even acknowledged me standing there, even though I tried my best to give a wave to everyone. I get it, being "on" for hours at a time is exhausting and I can't imagine what that feeling might be like. But for $500 I don't think it's crazy to have wanted more. They may as well have replaced everyone with cardboard cutouts. Would've felt the same to me. We were told by the head of security that we'd take our photos and that's it, but I later found out that multiple people got requests approved, by the same head of security, to do poses that were said to be disallowed or even spend more time with the cast. After being told the rules I really wanted to respect them, but it sucks knowing that it didn't even matter in the end and I could've gotten at least a tiny bit more worth out of my ticket.

To top it all off, and this is probably Ticketmaster's fault, my seat ended up being completely different to what was displayed when I actually bought my ticket. I ended up close to the stage (which I didn't want bc I can't crane my neck very much) and the row in front of me was literally elevated higher than my row. so I saw maybe the top half of the set/dances.

I get this fandom goes hard for the dancers and celebs each season. But at some point it needs to be evident that they are simply charging too much for these mediocre experiences. $500 is a lot of money to me as someone in college and living in LA and I left the show regretting the purchase. I don't think the show itself was bad at all. I would've gone with a GA ticket for sure. I just think that if you take into account how much of this ticket was JUST for VIP, which I'm estimating is about $300 of the $500, there just simply should've been more. Again, LOVED the show itself. I had fun and the dancers are all amazing. Robert, Jordan, and Andy also just brought so much joy. But I was just really disheartened by the VIP experience.

Anyways, that's my take on the matter. I'm super curious how other people's experiences in VIP went. I'm sure plenty of people had a blast, so I'd like to hear that perspective too.
