University student seeking help for cats broken leg treatments
Hello! My name is Brian and I’m a current university student. On June 30th my beloved cat kimchi (1 years old) unfortunately broke his leg. I took him to the vet ER, and was left with an overwhelming bill. After concluding are visit to the ER I was told that I needed to get him recasted every week because of these follow ups a recast cost $150 per change. I was told to go 6-8 weeks until his leg is completely healed.
I am lost. I try my best not to ask for help, but this is a situation where I need as much help as I can get since I do not have insurance.
Kimchi is genuinely one of the best things that has happened in my life, and it is burdening me that I cannot fully provide for his treatment. I’m trying my best, but at this point I feel scared, overwhelmed, and lost. I wanna do my best to make sure he gets a complete recovery because he’s always been an amazing pet. He loves everyone, and I never seen him in such in pain, it breaks my heart :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I Will follow with updates on his healing journey because I want the best for him.
UGENTLY SEEKING VET'S RECAST
Hello! I am a student, and I am in desperate need for a vet that can recast kimchi every week for 6-8 weeks!
Unfortunately my cat kimchi (1 years old) broke his leg yesterday. I took him to the emergency room, and was told that he needs to recast his cast every week. I am located around the north shore area. I have insurance for my cat. I've called vets around the area, and most if not all told me to call other vets. I have called other vets, and have gotten the same response every time. I am looking for a cheap veterinarian that can help me in my situation right now. If anyone has recommendations where to go for this situation it would help me out a lot!
This week has been a lot. I feel lost in this situation, and i don't know how to navigate this. If anyone can please help me out, and point me towards the right direction i would be so grateful.
