My mom is a map gal, I'm not plz help

Hi friends! My mom is reading for the first time and asked why Sarah is often times giving travel directions and they don't correspond with the map. I did not pay attention in the slightest to this and was just along for the ride. Did anyone follow map movements closely, and did you notice the same thing?

Adult "My Fair Godmother"

Hello! Growing up I was OBSESSED with the "My fair Godmother" series by Janette Rallison and the trope of TWO modern love interests ending up in a fantasy world. I also found it in Saving Juliet by Suzanne Selfor. Absolutely adored watching these contemporary people try to keep themselves alive, as well as the struggle to adapt that you usually only see in, usually, the female lead. I haven't been able to find anything adult, and none of my search engines have found anything on the nose either.

Unneeded 3 day hospital stay over OHSS

Oh hi. I'm struggling and feeling like an idiot and need to rant and maybe a stranger to tell me I'm not freaking hysterical.

So we did our trigger shot last Tuesday and the retrieval Thursday (one week ago). Monday I was at work (at a hospital) and was having MAJOR trouble moving around, breathing, and was really really spacy.

I walked myself to the ER, and sat there in a room monitored for 8 hours. I told them it was probably OHSS, I just needed to make sure that there wasn't fluid in my lungs and that everything was okay.

I saw a doctor twice, once when he congratulated me on my positive pregnancy test, which I told him a double trigger shot can cause. We went back and forth on that for a while because he wasn't sure I wanted a CT if I was pregnant. So that was fun.

There ended up being some fluid buildup around my lungs but not enough to drain.

I asked for an ob consult to review, and the ER doctor admitted me to out patient observation. And waiting to possibly give me antibiotics for...something? Where I sat for two days.

The fluid moved away from my lungs but into my abdomen and I look 8 months pregnant. The hospitalist the first morning started discharge without seeing me, and during our meeting saw the buildup and said she would put in for a consultation with OB, and she wanted to see about my UTI test, which I don't have, nor had any symptoms for. And I sat there for another day. Saw no one else.

Third day, I didn't see the doctor till 10 am, and was given a conditional discharge with a consult...around noon I asked about if I needed another ultrasound or blood work for the consult and my nurse said she hasn't even been informed about what my plan of care was. As I mentioned I'm an employee, and I called in a favor with my boss and had the Chief of Nursing in my room a few HOURS later. She was amazing, and I'm pretty good friends with her anyway, and at 2:30 (probably 30 minutes after she left) I was on my way to ultrasound.

Our hospital is really small and the one OB doctor spent most of the day in deliveries and eventually made it to my room around 6, and apologized profusely that I had to wait 4 hours because she didn't get the consult request until 2. (When the exec left my room.) She reviewed my file, flipped out a little because my kidneys are under stress and she mentioned renal failure and said she was gonna call some people.

She came back in with the senior VP over the hospital, another friend, and we discussed plan of care which was to REVIEW MY FREAKING FILE, which the doctor hasn't even done yet. Turns out I'm not dying, I'm fine but bloated and it'll go down. WHICH I KNEW AND JUST NEEDED A CONSULT so I could be discharged. The OB gave me follow up instructions and discharged me.

So now I feel like a Karen and a crazy lady for getting two hospital executives in my room for absolutely nothing. And I'm horrifically embarrassed, except I also have no idea how long I would have freaking waited.

I knew what was wrong, I went to the ER because I couldn't breath, but was kept there for two days because no one would come look at me.

If anyone has a better sub I should cross post to for maybe advice, or just story telling, I'll take it.
