Diagnosed with a superficial fissure - the CRS said to perform finger massages 2x daily. These produce a burning sensation that lasts throughout the day and I feel like everything clenches up even more, even radiating to the tailbone. A week ago I took a break for a few days and actually felt better. Back to masages and the discomfort increases with each day.

Phoned the CRS today and he suggested to try leaving it alone and see how it works. I'm confused as I was first told the massages were necessary. Can it heal without them?

(the weird thing is the burning comes from areas that are to the sides, more than the fissure itself, or so it seems).
