Progress on my haunted/abandoned house.

Working on the kitchen first. Here's a before and then "almost" after pics. I wanted it really dirty. I'm going to add dust, some more furniture, and cobwebs. My master plan is to sprinkle in horror movie easter eggs throughout; think a death head moth on the wall from Silence of the Lambs, the music box from The Conjuring, The Wicker Man headdress, etc. Just wanted to share :)

To grout or not to grout?

I've tiled my kitchen with plaster tiles and sealed them. Just wondering if I should grout too, or leave as is. I am planning a haunted/abandoned house. So these tiles will not stay this "clean". Thanks!

Tiling my kitchen

Really enjoying tiling my kitchen, which is funny because doing it in my actual bathroom was miserable work. These are plaster tiles, so I'll seal them before grouting. I'm going to go 3/4 of the way up, then paint the bare wall and put up simple shelving between the divide.

No sure where to begin

I acquired a 1970s all-wood handmade dollhouse. Its 1:12 scale and a MASSIVE size with 12 total rooms. The house is just the raw wood; theres been no staining or painting. Do any of the experienced out here have advice on where I should start? My vision is a haunted house, not cutesy. I've cleaned it, but beyond that I was hoping someone could give me a bit of guidance on the order of operations here. Interior/ floors, walls? I am all about taking my time and making this something I'm proud of. Thanks!

Like Kirsten Miller?

I've read all of her books (except her YA/kid ones) that have been published (The Change, The Women of Wild Hill, LuLus Little Library). Looking for female empowerment, middle aged characters maybe even witchy vibes. Need to scratch that itch.
