Finstad's running an ad about how he supposedly voted for a stock trading ban, but Jake's calling him out

Here's the propaganda ad: https://youtu.be/yVwOwlM02NA

So basically Finstad voted for the Stop Insider Trading Act, a watered-down nothing burger which was a response (by corrupt pols) to the real stock trading bill that would ACTUALLY stop insider trading. Now they're running an ad in Rochester to make it seem like he's some anti-corruption hero. Crazy this is legal.

Finstad is not doing a town hall. (Shocking, I know)

The only info about this supposed "showing up" is that his staff has the Kasson library reserved from 1:30-3:30pm on Friday, August 14th (middle of a workday btw). Whatever it is, it's not even listed as an event on his website. I would suggest it's one of his "Mobile Help Desks", where his staff members meet with people, but there aren't any of those scheduled until November! (You know, when the election is?)

If you're interested in attending an actual town hall next week, Jake Johnson is holding three in Worthington, Albert Lea, and Rochester.

RPS statement on Big Government Brad Finstad trying to bring down the power of the state on his opponent's employer

Jake Johnson is a calculus teacher employed by RPS, so Finstad is going after RPS for a 2022 footnote that has no bearing on any actual policies. Typical slimy politicking from Big Government Brad.

Why might Finstad be making a huge deal out of a footnote in a 2022 RPS document? Could it be because HIS OPPONENT JAKE JOHNSON IS EMPLOYED BY RPS???

This is such an obvious politically motivated attack it's insane. Jake Johnson, Finstad's toughest opponent ever, is a calculus teacher employed by Rochester Public Schools, and now Finstad is going after RPS for a completely made up non-issue. What a hack.

Jake Johnson's coming to town!

Jake just announced his full 21-county town hall tour schedule. Completely open to the public with no prescreened questions. Boom

Congressional candidate (and teacher at Mayo) Jake Johnson collected 5x the required amount of signatures to get on the ballot instead of just paying the fee

My goat. Finstad could never

Schoolteacher, union leader, and Minnesota-01 Congressional candidate Jake Johnson took the Political Integrity Pledge to:

- Reject corporate PAC $$
- Support a stock trading ban + hold no individual stocks while in office
- Support a lobbying ban for former members of Congress
- Support overturning Citizens United

He is challenging Rep. Brad Finstad who received $275,900 in corporate PAC money last cycle.
