Just wrapped up my 14270 build recently, and I just gravitate toward that more than the 1016. Winding, as with most VR313x, is a bit gritty, but it doesn't impact its performance. Specs are as follows:

Just wrapped up my 14270 build after weeks of gathering parts. Satisfying feeling when you don't need to clip dial feet. Gen dial, OC 16000 midcase, Clark's 295 sapphire (2.5mm gasket), gen 604 crown, EWP bezel, VR3130, Italian 93150. I have parts for a short clasp incoming, as well, so we'll see which is preferred.

Selling my OC 1016 with Yuki dial/hands and VR3130 movement. Light Copic marker aging and matte clear coat applied to dial. Clark's tube, gen 604 crown. Had a random jubilee bracelet lying around, so I swapped in a Raffles clasp. Fitment isn't great, so consider it a bonus. VR3130 winds with grit but runs great, otherwise. $700, including CONUS shipping.

Currently working on a 14270 build. Any recommendations on handsets? I usually use ewatchparts (or similar), but I'm curious if anyone has had positive experience with others (besides genuine). Shot of dial for reference. Thanks!

27mm Sinn dial that I fell in love with, shaved down to 26mm to fit this Helenarou case. Ofrei hands "aged" to match the indices. New bezel assembly arrives today, so excited to get it all together. Utilizes a vintage Longines L633 movement (2824 equivalent) with a unique serif datewheel. Only gripe is that I didn't realize the stem was a two-parter...kind of a pain. Otherwise, pleased with the overall build.
