How to make sweet popcorn in microwave?

How to make sweet popcorn in microwave?

I make popcorn in microwave cuz it’s more convenient than making it in a pot (my pots are heavy and big so it’s annoying to wash)

I add butter and sugar, put in microwave for melt the butter (sugar not fully melted), add kernels and put back into microwave to let it pop

The problem is that it’s not sweet and there’s burns in the bottom of bowl 😢 tried honey, doesn’t work.

I could make a separate glaze over a pot and stir the popcorn in, but can I just do everything in the microwave?

Second try making popcorn 🍿

An update from my last post!

https://www.reddit.com/r/popcorn/s/ybuv4gVssM

I decided to try again today :) I saw someone’s microwave popcorn bowl and was inspired to try using a microwave this round instead of a pot.

This time I added more oil and test it without the sugar, and my corn finally started popping! It’s not perfect yet as I would like it to be a little sweet, but really appreciated all the help I got from this community 🥰🥰

Gonna enjoy my popcorn now~

First time making popcorn (Failed)

Followed a recipe online and failed 😣

I heated the oil, added 3 kernels and waited for them to pop before adding in the rest of the kernels (with brown sugar). It started popping but died out quickly and most of them were left unpopped and the sugar started burning

Will try again next time.

Edit: I made popcorn again with all the feedback https://www.reddit.com/r/popcorn/s/1Z1vmCAztx

How should I invest $100k? Lump Sum, DCA or wait for a dip?

Hello~ I’ve saved $100k from my day job and thinking of investing into VOO since it’s now just sitting in the bank (I was too scared to invest 😭 only started investing monthly into VOO recently)

I’m 25yo and I’m a lurker of the community — I’ve seen people saying lump sum will be a better option 66% of the time, and DCA will be better for emotions.

But I’m wondering if I should wait for a dip (e.g. 5% /10% / 15% below ATH) then invest in a lump sum instead, or what are my other options?

My matcha collection + what should I try next?

Started collecting the cans to remember all the different matcha I’ve tried. (Currently drinking sayaka matcha by Ippodo tea!)

Any recommendations on what to try next?
