After months of development, asset overhauls, and community feedback, we are thrilled to announce that Embers of Rebellion launches this Saturday, July 4th, at 9 AM Mountain Daylight Time on the Steam Workshop and ModDB!
We wanted to make sure the initial release was as polished and complete as possible, and these final additions pull the entire galactic experience together.

We are back with a massive development update as we sprint toward the finish line! While we originally aimed for a slightly earlier release, the delay has allowed us to cram this build packed with some of the most highly requested community features, massive visual overhauls, and entirely new ways to play.
Here is a breakdown of what is dropping in this latest update.
The Heavy Hitters Arrive
This one is for you, u/MrHistory1914! Originally, we were saving The Starhawk-Class Battleship for a later expansion. However, after seeing the overwhelming community demand, we knew we couldn't leave it out.
To complement the arrival of the Starhawk, New Republic commodore Kyrsta Agate has officially joined the conflict as a hero unit.
The Empire’s ultimate symbol of naval dominance is ready to deploy. Command the Executor-Class Super Star Destroyer and crush the rebellion with overwhelming firepower.
The Death Star has received a complete visual overhaul. The new model brings an incredible level of cinematic scale and detail to your galaxy map and tactical engagements.
Ground Combat & Tactical Rebalancing
To ensure the Rebellion doesn't instantly get vaporized by the Empire's mechanized might, we’ve added the Rebel Juggernaut, giving the faction a formidable heavy vehicle to anchor their frontline.
We have officially brought all of our updated space laser projectiles down to the planetary surface, giving blaster fire and vehicle cannons a crisp, modern visual upgrade.
The New MC30 Model has been rebuilt from the ground up with high-fidelity meshes and textures.
Planetary bombing runs now feature brand-new projectile visuals, making orbital support feel incredibly destructive.
A Whole New Way to Play
You no longer have to conquer the galaxy alone. We are incredibly excited to announce that the Multiplayer Campaign functionality is fully integrated, allowing you to go head-to-head or coordinate galactic strategy with a friend.
We are currently putting the final touches on a few remaining campaigns and finishing up the custom Rebel shipyard models. Once those are locked in, the initial release will be ready for deployment.
With that in mind, we are aiming to launch by the end of this month!
We sincerely apologize for the delay, but we wanted to make sure this release lived up to your expectations. We will keep you updated on our exact launch day progress right here. If you have any questions about the new units, mechanics, or campaign structures, feel free to drop them below!

The march toward our late-Spring public beta continues! While the team has been busy under the hood, this update is all about the "look and feel" of the mod. We’ve been focused on bringing our assets up to a modern standard and refining the strategic layer of the galaxy.
So here is what we have been working on for the last month:
Updated GC Layout: We have finalized a new Galactic Conquest layout. This isn't just a visual shuffle; the map has been restructured to improve the strategic flow, making hyperlane control and planetary positioning more critical than ever.
Visual Overhauls & Asset Refinement
We believe a canon-focused mod should look as good as the films. We’ve overhauled several key models to ensure they meet modern fidelity standards:
Assault Frigate Mk II: This Rebel workhorse has received a completely new model and high-definition textures.
Starbase Models: We have updated our starbases across the board to ensure your orbital defenses look as imposing as the fleets they support.
Z-95 Headhunter: The Z-95 has received a fresh model, bringing a much-needed facelift to the Rebellion’s early-era escort fighter.
UI & Effects: We have updated our Targeting Reticles for a cleaner tactical overlay. Additionally, our Particle System is seeing major progress—explosions and engine glows are being refined to match the cinematic intensity of our soundtrack.
The Expansion of the Galaxy
Our map designers are currently finalizing layouts for some of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars canon:
Zeffo & Jedha: Progress is well underway for these maps. We are working hard to capture the unique atmosphere of the ancient Zeffonian ruins and the high-tension deserts of Jedha.
Atmospheric Deployments (Ground Preview)
While our primary focus for the initial beta remains on Space, we are starting to integrate key atmospheric units into our ground dev-builds:
TIE Strikers: These high-speed interceptors are now screaming over the battlefield, providing the Empire with terrifying air superiority.
U-Wing Transports: While not yet fully implemented as combat gunships, U-Wings are now functional as transports and space squadrons, allowing you to drop troops into the heart of the action.
And Much More...
There are many more things currently being added—from minor bugfixes to lore-accurate unit tweaks—that we don't have the time or space to share today. We want to keep some surprises hidden for when you finally jump into the cockpit yourself.
We’re in the home stretch for the late-Spring beta. Stay tuned, and may the Force be with you!
