Temporary Setup

Had a desktop before, but it broke at only 1.5yrs old so I’m currently using this dell precision and dell monitor. Saving up for a MacBook Air (15“most likely) and don’t worry… I will be getting a proper stand soon 🥹.

Smartphone buying help! Coming from Samsung and Apple, I need recommendations/advice.

So I need some help; right now I'm in a bit of a limbo between my Samsung ecosystem and my Apple ecosystem. For my Apple ecosystem I have an iPhone 12, an Apple Watch (low battery health, though), and an iPad mini 7, and for the Samsung ecosystem I have a Galaxy A36, a Galaxy Fit 3, and a Windows PC/Soundcore liberty 4 pro (if those count because of good compatibility). So either way I will lose some features, so I'm just looking at the best value options. Here they are (the prices are very low due to my carrier FYI):

1: Samsung S24 (128gb) - $140 ^((or $50 more for 256 GB))

  • I like the form factor, design, and price but am concerned about the battery and camera quality

2: Samsung S24 Ultra (256gb) - $340

  • Honestly love everything about this phone but do think I will miss the ecosystem integration/polish of Apple, which becomes magnified because of the much more expensive price compared to the base s24.

3: iPhone 15 pro (128gb) - $340 ^((or $70 more for 256 GB))

  • Decent phone overall but not a huge fan of the 3x tele, battery, or overheating. However, this is huge for my existing Apple ecosystem.

I am open to any comments on these devices or any other devices you would recommend! Thanks

Huge Problems on iPhone 12 going back to 26.5

Hello, I don’t often post on Reddit but this caused a lot of stress and time wasted so even if this only helps one person, I will still be happy.

Let me set the stage: I have a base iPhone 12 and I wanted to try iOS 27, I let it install and played around with it but a few essential apps weren’t working (especially my back app) so I decided to revert back. I did what you are supposed to do, turn off find my, go to recovery, and then restore with apple devices/finder. As a first most windows user I opened apple devices and did a classic restore. It failed 2/3 through. Ok I thought, I will wait. 30 minutes go by and I start to get worried, so I get back in recovery mode and I do this process twice more. No luck; So I tried a mac, still got the same infamous error (1109).

And now here is the solution:

Get 3uTools and do a quick restore making sure to select “fix battery health”. This is the only way I was able to get it to fully restore.

I think the beta is not for me; I foolishly did this on my main phone and I want to sign off with one piece of advice for anyone wanting to update. Only update if it’s a secondary device or if you are willing to accept the risk your phone is bricked. I was very lucky I was able to restore, and like I said before, I hope this post helps others.
