Geo cars

I have been in the process of joining the air force. I have been to a psych eval, they've seen all my medical records, pharmacy records, and I've been to get my blood work tested for an elevated thyroid level. They now want me to go to my PCP and get them to look at the lab results and write up a report. Is this normal and does anyone know if I'm likely to get disqualified?
