me and a group of others are working on making a deer detector housed in an electrical box to be put on the sides of roads. It will alert drivers of nearby deer when they are detected using flashing lights, with the goal of preventing deer collisions. please fill out this poll to show your interest in a product like this
I'm working on a deer detector as part of an engineering internship that can be used remotely on roads that uses a thermal camera to detect deer that then makes a sign flash. I was planning to make the thermal camera take a photo every 5 minutes, the computer will analyze it using AI to detect deer, and if a deer is detected within 30 feet the light will flash for the next five minutes to alert drivers. Here's my list of supplies right now that I worked out using my limited knowledge of engineering (I'm a highschool junior btw).
