I'm in the United States and I'm coming to Inverness in November to research my Clan MacGillivray ancestry in the South Loch Ness area around Bochruben. I was referred to Highland Adventure Tours to take me to places specific to my own ancestry but their domain and email aren't working. Does anyone know how I can find "Charlie" their tour guide? Thanks for your help!

Here's an invitation to the people from Louisiana Deserves Better to explain themselves for what has been happening with getting signatures on the Landry recall petition in Alexandria.

Why were there two signing events, one that started May 18 on Branch Street and the one that was held on May 30 in Bringhurst Park, and why is the second group flinging mud online at the first group?

All internal squabbling aside, the registered voters who went to Branch Street have the right to know whether their signatures count. Your organization has failed to officially explain what is going on in Alexandria. Yesterday, some of the people who already signed the petition at Branch Street publicly admitted on Facebook they re-signed the petition at Bringhurst Park because they don't know whether their first signature was valid.

As the saying goes, "a house divided against itself cannot stand." The fact that your group may have collected duplicate signatures at Bringhurst Park on Saturday damages the integrity of your entire statewide database and jeopardizes your mission to recall Landry.

*Alexandria* "deserves better" than this level of infighting. Please tell us how you intend to remedy this discrepancy going forward. We all want the same thing -- to recall Landry -- so please get all your organization's representatives on the same page.

Lawrence certainly has his hands full with James Talarico tonight. Talarico won't answer Lawrence's questions and Lawrence can't steer him back to anything he doesn't want to talk about. Talarico is simply too rehearsed and too canned and too stuck on his talking points. It's really frustrating to watch this exchange.

Talarico is going to have to come up with better soundbites if he's going to defeat a scumbag like Ken Paxton. Lawrence should have not avoided repeating the cheap namecalling Paxton engages in and said it flat-out: "How do you feel about being called Six-Gender Jimmy and what are you going to do about it?" This is no time for Talarico to act holier-than-thou and shy away from it.

There's obviously something deeply flawed with the Texas GOP voters if they supported the Trump-backed candidate Paxton. You'd have to be living in a bunker not to know how many times Paxton has crossed the line and behaved unethically. Apparently Trump's kleptocracy is OK with Texas GOP voters because it didn't bother them in supporting Paxton, who's just as bad.

The "culture wars" fearmongering about the southern border and transgender issues worked in 2024 and apparently it still works in 2026. They'll mock him for being vegan in a cattle-economy state, too. Talarico is not going to be able to fall back on carefully crafted deflective responses every single time he goes out in public.

No one wants to see the last of Paxton more than I do, but Talarico needs to course-correct ASAP if he's going to defeat Paxton in November.
