Mullah maxxing gone wrong
So I had exams and my university hosted a Quran club by inviting various Islamic scholars to talk about the topic "is this the beginning of the end?" we weren't aware what kinda jokers would be invited.
Me and my friends were sitting in the hallway revising for our exam when one of them, Dr. Sohail Hassan approached us. One of my friend wore jeans and shirt like all of us but just because she was in his line of sight she got targeted. He walked up to us and said "when in Rome do what the Romans do"
He started lecturing her about how she's following the west and not dressing modestly enough (she was fully covered btw) we argued back about individuality and told him that he shouldn't police women over what they're wearing on which he let out a huge laugh. He then looked her up and down and said yes you're covered but not according to Pakistani standards.
I get that people try to bring others closer to Islam various ways but he kept talking about culture and Pakistan, didn't even mention Islam once. Told us to meet him later, he'll teach us how to dress properly and left.
We tried telling the administration but because he was a guest they couldn't do anything about this.
He was berating us in the middle of the hallway too btw, like Bhai why are you yelling Infront of everyone. This is why I don't like/trust any Pakistani islamic scholar because innka Islam larkiyon ki dressing sey start hota hai and 4 shadiyon pey khatam hota hai.
