Late to the party seeing this, but Far Habour are Also(?)the Bad guys
Talking about the Far Harbor DLC
Obviously Fallout 4 has been out for years. I have over a thousand hours on my PC and more on my Xbox One and I've played and replayed this game so many times.
Usually I try to keep the peace between all the settlements. I'm not going to do spoiler covers because this game is a billion years old.
But usually side with Dima to make sure Far Harbor stays up. Replace Tectus to keep the Children of Atom there and Acadia stays the same.
I'm in a playthrough trying to more side with the children of Atom, and I'm really seeing how fucked up the people of Far Harbor are. They really hate everyone else and don't even tolerate them at all and you don't even get the choice to try to help them be tolerant.
There was a scripted event where Allen Lee has another Child of Atom, like we hear he did before and he just shot them down in the street. Now he has another one. And immediately it's "oh I need to kill this guy" and you have no ability to reason with him, and he just gets to shoot them like a dog with 0 intervention as the harbor-people watch and don't even care.
That's insane to me. You can't even reason with these people. They're trying to fortify their position and expand on the island, but they don't tolerate anyone but their own.
I didn't realize this until now that this is how these people are and I really should have seen it before now.
They absolutely hate the Children of Atom. They dislike Dima but put up with him because he helped them. And mainlanders they're 50/50 on because sometimes they help, sometimes they don't.
Even the Cassie Dalton quests show you some of how the "Original Islanders" think. You find a holotape of someone She also sent and he claims the story was a lie. She denies that, but also admits to "embellishing the truth". And just tosses your accusations off to praise you for "fighting the island"??.
The people are welcoming when they can use you, but lawless savages if you don't help them or go against what they want. Far Harbor really is the wildest Moral dilemma of any game I've played.
Anyone else not have a dislike button? (Thumbs down?)
My Shorts have been lacking a dislike button and since I can't Dislike to "train my algorithm", I just tell yt to never show me that channel and essentially block that channel from ever trying to appeal to me.
That seems questionable and stupid on their part, because why not let me dislike a vid, they don't show me vids like that for a bit, and then reintroduce them to me later and see if I'm open to it then?
Seems like shitty marketing imo
Beard products that don't smell like Tobacco or Woods?
Hey all, I've been looking for some nice beard Oils, Balms, creams etc that don't feel the need to smell like Cigarettes, cigars or pine needles.
Yes I am a man, I am comfortable in my "manly-ness", but I'd rather not smell like your grandpa's closet after he died. Vanilla, maple, lavender, citrus, cinnamon, coffee, apple anything other than just Sandalwood, pine and tobacco.
Please! Any suggestions would be amazing
The Intimidation or Action/results of trying things and failing is just incredible to me
Gaming specifically, I see so many posts asking "Oh if I do this what happens, or if I do that what happens?".
Less people are willing to try things in order to test stuff. Even when you can save and play to do certain objectives and see the results. People just don't do it and rely on others to find out the thing that happens. (Or maybe I'm biased because the Internet is so prevalent these days).
They need guinea pigs, and guides and the internet to tell them how to play games. Instead of actually playing and/or replaying them themselves.
Ill actively admit I've done this before, but then also tried out the thing I was skeptical about to truly see it irl
Edit: grammar
I want to get the Element symbols as tattoos
I love Earth and Earth bending so I'd put that on my Left chest area.
Air behind my ear cause I'm an airhead sometimes.
Then fire and water I'm not sure of but maybe Fire above my belly button for a "fire in my belly" thing. But Water really stumps me.
Maybe water behind the other ear for "going with the flow"?
What do you guys think?
