Coolant drain for knock sensor job
To remove the intake manifold and get to the knock sensors, do you have to drain coolant and if so how much of it? Just 5 quarts or will I have to flush the whole system?

Hello C5 folks, I currently own a 1998 C5 and want to replace the knock sensors+intake gaskets myself. I've tried to do other repairs like the valve cover gaskets but certain things about the 1998 model year are different from the 99-04 cars making the repairs more difficult and there aren't any youtube tutorials on a 1998 car in specific. Was just wondering if anyone has replaced the knock sensors on a 1998 C5 and is there any differences in this job between the 1998 and the 99-04 cars that I should be worried about?
I’ve recently bought a 1998 C5 and the exhaust smells like unburnt fuel. I’m pretty sure it’s not the cats going bad because those would cause a sulfur smell, but I’m not sure what it could be. I need to fix one of the knock sensors and my mechanic said that could be causing it due to unburnt fuel, but the smell is persistent from startup and doesn’t go away when the car is warmed up. Doesn’t seem to be too serious but if you think you know what the problem may be let me know!
I just bought a 98 c5 and i need replacement tires asap since the ones on it have dry rot. What is the best brand for corvettes and are there any sites or places where I can get tires for a good price?
Found this C5 on marketplace, everything seems good except the paint. The issue is the clearcoat peeling and oxidizing as seen in the photos above. Not sure if it would need to get paint corrected or would need an entire new job. I‘m wondering how much it would cost to get it repainted.
Found a c5 on marketplace for 9k with 81k miles. Carfax looked good but it has knock sensor low voltage code, trans temp sensor issue and small valve cover gasket leak. Also I want to change the headlights back to the OEM popups. Is that an easy job to do? Also, lmk if you think this is a good deal or not.
