Pee Mak (2013)

I finally checked out Pee Mak and really enjoyed it. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a horror-comedy adaptation of a famous Thai ghost legend. The basic setup follows Mak, a soldier who returns home from war with his four eccentric army buddies to reunite with his wife, Nak, and their newborn baby. However, the local villagers are completely terrified because rumors are spreading that Nak actually died during childbirth while he was away, and that he's currently living with a ghost. While Mak is totally oblivious, his friends start noticing strange things and try to figure out the truth without getting killed in the process. I thought the setup was great because it constantly plays with your expectations of who is actually living or dead. For those who know the original folklore, what did you think of the comedic changes they made to the traditional story?
