"GROUNDING ENABLE" Setting; Should I have it on or off?

I don't understand what the setting does, exactly. Or more specifically, if I do understand what it does I don't understand why it's an option, and why it's default isn't 'on'.

Is this because it's technically a portable charger that could be being plugged into unknown outlets, some of which may not be up to code re: the 1962 requirement for all outlets to be grounded?

Shouldn't plugging the 14-50 adapter into the unit cause the setting to default to 'on'?

What's up with the constant "Relay Self-test Abnormality" Error messages?

First, is anyone else getting these error messages every time they charge? Or is it just happening with my Kia Soul?

I get a 'Start Alarm Notification' and an 'End Alarm Notification' for every charging session. It's always been this way.

Do I really need to know about EVERY 'relay self-test anomaly'? Is it really an 'anomaly' when it happens EVERY session?

I assume it's just a handshake/communication issue. I suspect what's happening is the EVSE is attempting to initiate a charging session without first notifying the car, so the car isn't ready to accept the connection. This attempt fails but acts as notification that a charging session is being requested, and the EVSE's second attempt is then successful.

Then when the car terminates the charging session because it's reached its charging limit, the EVSE reports that rejection as an error.

Is there a way to fix this? I don't think Customers need to see these errors; hide them from us so we don't get anxious about all these 'alarms' and 'anomalies'. Or if it's imperative that customers be told about them, at the very least rename them to things like, 'Handshake not completed; retrying' or 'Charging terminated by vehicle'.

Thoughts?

14,000kms cost me $220🥳

I just wanted to celebrate this.

Thanks to the Green Miles program, the 14k km I've driven since getting my EV will have cost me about $220, after the rebate. EDIT: I think I must've messed up my math somewhere. Calculated by average cost of 2¢/km, it should've cost $280, not $220. ¯\(°_o)/¯ ?

I was happy with only paying $500 for those klicks *before* the rebate.😁 This is awesome; I'm so pleased and grateful to have been able to get an EV, and for lucking into choosing the Pion charger.

Green Miles seems so much better than Grizzl-E Club in practically every way. Yay for us!

Question's in the title. With these lovely new Carbon Credit profit-sharing programs that pay you for charging your EV, are there any that support L1 charging? Or is this just an L2 thing?

It would be nice to see those stuck with L1 charging be able to also take advantage of the rebates.

Thanks for reading!

App Feature Request - Set Billing Period

I would very much like to be able to set my electric bill's billing period in the app so that I can easily see how many kWh I charged during that period.

Currently, I check the app on the 24th of the month and record the month-to-date total, then go back to the previous month and add up all charging from the 24th to month's end to get my total billing period amount. This seems like something the app should be able to do, but I'm not a programmer.

Would anyone else find this useful, or am I an outlier?

Recommended Change to App: Cosmetic

TL;DR: Change the graphic

Currently, when I check my points total in the '2026 Top-up Program' section, my points total is prefaced by a dollar sign inside a circle, which makes it look like I've accrued $356.81 in rewards. (See Top Image)

That's incorrect, and just asking for customers to feel like they're being cheated or misled.

May I suggest a simple change? (See Bottom Image) This is just a quick & dirty mock-up.

Comparison between existing & suggested graphics

It's fooled me more than once, and disappointed me every time it happens. What do y'all think?
