My dog is 6 1/2 years old, a Jack Russel, min pin, chi, rat Terri mix, and over the years went from white skin, to black spots now almost completely black skin and is also balding. He’s doesn’t scratch or have skin inflammation.

He’s been tested for Cushing and had skin scrapes. Everything is clear. I’m thinking it’s alopecia but the vet isn’t saying either way. Just that it’s cosmetic and doesn’t need treatment.

Any opinions on whether this appears to be alopecia or not?
