Account keeps getting locked
Unfortunately my American Airlines Barclays card was discontinued after a decade and I am forced to use Citibank. Prior to traveling internationally, I put a travel notice. Then, I was asked to verify a few purchases abroad via text. Then they locked my card and it took 30 minutes with a customer service rep who was difficult to understand before finally unlocking. 24 hours later and they have locked it again. All of my “suspicious purchases” have been in the same country (Scotland). I’m truly dumbfounded. This is the “Global” card but I can’t rely on this card to travel. Just trash service. Is this the norm with Citi?
