My survey respondents are all 45+ and I need younger Singaporeans to tell me if this food app idea is actually useful
Hey r/asksg,
I'm a Singaporean working professional and I've been building an app on the side called PantrySwipe, the idea is simple: it looks at what's already in your fridge and tells you what you can cook tonight. No more buying ingredients you already have, no more staring at the fridge wondering what to make.
I ran a user survey recently and got 131 responses which is great, but 70% of them were 45 and above. Probably because I shared it through WhatsApp and Facebook like an uncle.
The honest problem: the app is built for people like us. People who are busy, cook occasionally, waste food without realising it, and just want someone to tell them what to make without having to think too hard about it.
So I'm coming directly to Reddit to ask, if you're between 20 and 35, cook at home at least sometimes, and have 3 minutes to spare, I'd really appreciate your honest feedback.
No right or wrong answers. I'm not trying to sell you anything. I just genuinely need to know if this solves a real problem for younger Singaporeans or if I'm building something nobody asked for.
The survey takes about 3 minutes. Completely anonymous.
If you have questions about the app or want to roast my idea, drop it in the comments, I'll reply to everything.
Thanks in advance 🙏
