I travel very often. 5+ flights a year minimum, I can obviously see the decline of Southwest and I will no longer be flying with them.
A couple days ago I just flew with SW for the first time since they changed to assigned seating.
And wow… it’s gone downhill in my opinion
I’ve noticed during my incoming and departing flights that the gate and FA agents were all very unprofessional and looked miserable. Reminded me of my times flying Spirit and Frontier.
Another HUGE turnoff is seat changing with the gate agents. Every other airline I fly with will let me change seats (for free) if the plane has an open seat and you ask nicely. SW does not even give you a chance and the seat costs are enormous.
These issues on top of the change from open seating to assigned just make SW not worth it to me. I rather fly with United, American, or Delta over them now any day.
