Although a driver was being pursued by an OPP officer when she fatally drove into a water discharge canal at Napanee and Lennox generating stations in April, the SIU said the officer involved "comported himself with due care and regard for public safety."

A third set of human remains discovered on a property northeast of Smiths Falls has been identified as Lawrence Bertrim, who disappeared nearly four years ago.

Originally charged with the sexual assault of a former colleague, former Kingston Police sergeant Jason Alblas pleaded guilty to assault.
