How do you manage separation anxiety?

And if you got your Bichon as a puppy, what was your daily routine with them? I'm mostly focusing on continued potty training and getting my puppy used to her crate and her playpen in the evenings right now (she's only been home with me for a little over a week), but while she pad trained basically overnight, she really struggles with the latter two things. Unsurprisingly, she has terrible separation anxiety and hates anything that keeps her from being right up on top of me all the time. I don't want to give in and never get her acclimated to the crate, but I also don't want her to get too distressed 😭

just became a BF mom

Her name is Brie, she's 11 weeks old, and she is immediately so smart, sweet, and affectionate 😭 This is my first time training a puppy since my childhood dog (a Sheltie) so any BF puppy tips are welcome! She is adjusting to her new home very well so far and I am absolutely enamored with her.

leaf cycling or environmental issue?

I am new to alocasias and admit I did not realize how delicate they can be before I got one— honestly, I just saw it at the garden center and said, "What a cool plant!" I only researched later. My other indoor plants are mostly ivy and succulents that "thrive on neglect," so I'm trying very hard to make sure I rise to the occasion with this new, beautiful plant.

I've gone through a lot of older posts on this sub and would like to see if anyone has feedback on how to gauge regular leaf cycle dropping vs the plant struggling. I did repot it into what I now know might be slightly too big of a pot right when I brought it home (although it did definitely need repotted), but it hasn't shown any signs of issues over the month I've had it until two of its lower leaves started dropping in the past few days.

Any general advice is welcome. I fear I'm a little out of my depth, but I really want to help this thing thrive!
