Inquiring

If I have a plain document written up stating I have my child Monday through Friday and alternate weekends and the other parent has them the other weekends, we both dated and signed and witness signed can I simply take that to a family law lawyer and that’s that on the custody arrangements.

Co parenting advice

My child is 9 and myself and her father haven’t been together since before she was born. When she was an infant we wrote up a paper stating she only goes with him every other weekend and is with me Mon-Fri and alternating weekends.

Since she’s been about 18m-2y she has been fighting and fighting to not go. There has been many issues over the years. Myself and my current partner have been together since before she turned one.

Fast forward to now and she’s still fighting to not go. She wants to be at home with us. Says that’s where she feels safe and comfortable. She does share other things about the situation.

I just don’t know what to do next. I know the child doesn’t get a complete say until 12years of age but it also hurts me to see her cry because she doesn’t want to go
