PR-3AT Holster

Decided to dive into another holster where options are limited. This time for the PR-3AT. Some design constraints:

  1. Full triggerguard coverage
  2. Full firing grip while holstered
  3. Concealability beyond vacuum molded options
  4. Comfort

This time I took a different approach to avoid some pitfalls of kydex offering. By filling in negative space and hard edges, this really removes almost all the printing from a traditional holster that screams "gun!"

I also rounded and smoothed areas that protrude when a tightened belt presses against the wing. The back side is smooth and devoid of any hard edges to avoid hot spots.

There's adjustable positive retention and the already-concealable PR-3AT now disappears in AIWB form.

I hope Keltec starts selling the 10rd magazine housings as an accessory. This would absolutely vanish.

Followup to the PR57 Holster from last week

I've mostly dialed in the dimensions and wanted to drop a model here for anyone who wants to print their own. It's strictly a free holster for 3D printing enthusiasts. It's more comfortable than commercial options I've tried and addresses some of my dislikes with thermo-molded holsters. Unfortunately, I've had to billboard it with FREE to discourage people from selling the design (I've had problems with that before).

So feel free to download and print. Let me know what you like and don't like about the design.

Followup to yesterday's PR57 holster post

This is the next design project. Minimalist triggerguard holster. Includes a lanyard loop as well as 0.5" spaced holes for accessories like DCC clips, claws, and whatnot. I haven't printed it yet but tests to follow.

Current holsters felt lacking so I designed by own.

The current holsters for this felt a little leaving. This is set up for DCC clips and can accommodate a wing as well. Triggerguard retention that's adjustable independent of the clip. The extra hole also doubles as a lanyard point in case you have it in a bag.

I also moved the clip location back to help cant the grip into the body more. I might add a few "terrain" features to make it more comfy but right now it's almost like carrying nothing coming from the Glock world.

This is just a prototype so I'll reprint in nylon once I dial in the dimensions.
