Port Elgin Home Renovation

I'm planning to renovate a home in Port Elgin.

I'm trying to get guidance from contractors about how to breakdown the work, prioritize and budget for it. We may not be able to do all of it at once but I want to be able to say I want to do B but what must we do first and what can I defer for when we defer.

Ultimately, I expect it will be a kitchen and bathroom renovation. Flooring everywhere. Upgrading insulation. New windows. Some basement renovations. Upgrading heating from electric baseboard and natural gas fireplace to central HVAC (this is what we need the most assistance with because we don't know the options and cost/benefits for each).

Any suggestions?

Ideas for creating a light saber for theatrical performance

I've created a whip light using LEDs that I control with a WLED controller and USB power bank. I met someone who did something similar and they were using it as a light saber. This game me an idea...

A theatrical performance with lights that involves jousting with bicycles. What is an easy way detect touch/contact and flash the LED lights?

The whip lights I created look very similar to this. LEDs wrapped around a fibreglass driveway marker. His was shorter and wrapped around a broomstick. I'd create something know.

I'd like the saber to be lit up with a solid colour or animation and if it makes contact with a shield, I'd like the saber to flash white (like lighting) or some other animation. If I can sync it with another device to play sounds... I'd have it play a smash sound.

Any thoughts?

Painting plastic cooler

If you were to paint a large 48L Coleman cooler, how would you prep it, paint and coat for a durable finish?
