Other driver behavior around Alfas

I just bought a Giulia and I absolutely love every little thing about. It's just a gorgeous vehicle, but it drives, performs and handles every bit as well.

With that said, when I've been out and about, I swear to God people are driving more erratically around me than when I had a more pedestrian car. It is mostly from BMW and Mercedes people i feel like. The classic thing i'm noticing is one of them will be behind me, and they'll floor it to race by me just so they can cut me off...This seems to be mostly from guys but i've noticed some girl drivers like this as well.

Is this something you all have noticed as well or am I just seeing things? haha

Giulia turn stock

Sorry if this is a little OCD, haha, but just bought a new Giulia…is it normal for the turn stock to have a little slack in it (wiggles a little). Thank you

Knott’s Flagship Roller Coaster

If you had to pick one of these, which would you say is the flagship roller coaster at KBF?

For a while, I’d say Ghostrider was, but I feel like over the past 15 years, SB’s popularity and the fact it is located right at the entrance, as well as promoted in marketing materials, has taken the spot of the top roller coaster at the park. Knotts is really pushing it I feel like, and deservedly so because it’s a great ride with a contemporary likeness, while also being holding onto a cool western theme. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions.

I feel like X is too much of a niche ride and its location in the park prevents it from achieving this status, but it’s a legendary coaster in its own right.

Giulia with red leather interior

I just picked up a Rosso giulia with a red leather interior. the car is literally work of art - it’s incredible - so much so that I almost feel bad driving it sometimes haha. it feels so great to have one of these now tho after saving for years. i have a couple questions for maintenance for the exterior paint and red leather seats.

  1. i plan to get it detailed a couple times per year, but what kind of wax or substances do you use to keep the paint shiny and in good condition? I’m in SoCal - Orange County - so if you know a recommended detailer for Alfas that’d be great too. also what are some recommended products to just clean off the paint with from time to time, like bird shit etc.
  2. what is a good cleaner and method to occasionally wipe down the red seats ?

thanks so much!

Giulia turn signal question

i recently bought a 2026 giulia and noticed that the turn signal does not stay on when I press it. it’ll just flash 3 or 4 times then turn off unless I hold the stock up or down. this isn’t normal right?

thank you.

Hello,

I am strongly considering buying a 2026 Giulia. currently have a 2019 Jetta which while it's been overall great, is just a bit slow for my liking and i'm at a point where I can afford something a bit nicer. I also like the S5 and AMG C43 a lot, but I just don't know if it'd be worth it to spend $70isk K on a compact sedan.

I'm in the Orange County, CA area so I believe there will be enough dealer and independent shop support throughout my ownership.

So I have 3 main questions:

  1. How reliable should i expect this car to be relative to others in its class? I can put up with an issue here and there, but I don't want it to be chronic

  2. Does Alfa offer prepaid maintenance plans when you buy the car? Anyone have experiences with dealers in SoCal?

  3. and most importantly, how is the engine in the Giulia? I noticed at 280hp it's probably a higher number than the A5, 330i, and C series, but does it feel like it? I don't need a fire-breathing engine, but i want something faster than the Jetta and something that holds its own within its class.

Thank you and a look forward to hearing about your experiences and input!
