Electrical Outlets

Is there somewhere in the park where I can plug in to charge my phone/laptop or charging stations with USB to charge our devices? Thanks!

Use of dining plan when not in the park

My whole family is on the season pass dining plan. If I wanted to pick up food for them when they're not with me and bring it back with me, would that work or do the computers track visits? For example, when you show your QR code at the register, does it show on the cashier's screen whether that person is actually scanned into the park that day or is it just a binary yes/no if the dining plan is on the account?

Boysenberry iced coffee earlier today

Delicious, but sweet. But it’s a once in a while craving :)
Parents saw what I was making so we all decided to have some today. You can get syrup or actual
Boysenberry coffee grounds. I bought the syrup at the general store but you can also visit the berry market.

Badge quest is active

We went this weekend and the badge quest is active. The cost is under 20 and was 16.88 after the pass discount. You choose one of four characters to "guide" you. They have Charlie Brown , Franklin, Peppermint Patty and PigPen Quests are character specific from what I saw slightly varying character to character.

You buy your badge then scan it outside the Camp Snoopy store at those kiosks and set up your profile by putting in your initials picking a color logo and sound (your sound will play every time a spot registers it). Then you get your first set of quest instructions which for everyone was find 8 spots and scan your badge. After that check in at the list to earn your first of 3 digital badges. There are kiosks by the refreshment area as well and you can use either set of kiosks during your search to see what locations you missed as well as to complete quests. The employee said 13 locations, I saw 11 on the map so idk. Each quest has 8 spots to find and you need to check in at a kiosk after you finish each quest. For quests 2 and 3 pay attention to the light patterns appearing around the 4 metal circles around the paw pad.

After you finish your 3rd quest and get your 3rd digital badge you go back to the store they scan your tag and you get a wooden quest complete badge. Your tag will no longer be interactive at the locations and just make your sound. It's only good for the 3 quests and won't let you do more spots than 8 each time.

Some of these spots were really cool and it took us about an hour. It's definitely worth it as a cool keepsake. We made our badge into a magnet and plan to get the other 3 over the summer.

Stay safe from mosquitoes and ticks

This morning I parked in the preferred parking lot towards the back under a shady tree. I didn’t notice all of the mosquitoes by the tree and there was also a lot of ticks (at least 3). I noticed a tick (round and bluish) when I was loading my kids in the car. It looked like it was charging fast to get to me. Thank god I had some cedercide with me

Bye bye Johnny Rockets

It looks like Six Flags and Johnny Rockets are parting ways at least at Knott’s Berry Farm. A new chicken and fries restaurant will be there by this summer.

Went to the park for a couple hours.

Had a boysenberry Icee, someone gave my son a free fast pass he used on Jaguar, then we ended our visit at Calico mine cart.

Quiet opening weekend rope drop for Soak City in cold weather

Temperatures in the 60s in the morning and the sun didn't come out until it was nearly noon, but hard-core waterslide fans were there at opening time... I recall there was supposed to be some type of "water park enhancement"... did that get pushed back to next year?

Most problems at Knott's can be traced back to the same thing.

Starting pay at Knott's: $16/hr

Starting pay at Disney: $21/hr, automatic raise to $24 after one year, w/ union protection

"You get what you pay for" applies to labor just like it does every other commodity.
