Kinda slow July 5th at Knott's

I was expecting things to be worse today, but the crowds after July 4th have actually been rather mellow

Preferred parking is closed… normal parking has a year line/I think closed?

where is a good parking spot today? Anyone? This is ridiculous I see open spaces in preferred but they just keep the gate closed.. even though there’s a person telling everyone to go away standing in front of it

Calico River Rapids accident

I was just on one of the water rides, the one that’s like a tire when you’re riding. I went through the entire ride and when I was about to get off all of a sudden, the entire ride stopped, and everyone looked around confused. Apparently, a little girl fell on the turning platform that you have to get on before you get on and off the ride.

A bunch of emergency people came and it looks like she was dead on the floor with blood, running down her arm and around her head on the floor, when I was exiting I saw her laying there.

Does anyone have any idea or saw what happened?

Good luck everyone

From the 91 free way exit at Beach blvd to finally driving across La Palma ave, it took me 15 min cause beach blvd is backed up. I can only imagine how busy it is inside. If anyone has intel park side, let us know how packed it is.

Going tomorrow first time

Hey guys,

I lived in Southern California for many many years and didn’t go to Knotts, it was always explainer to me that it’s scary and horribly managed etc.

I’m taking a trip down there for family and bringing some kids . They all decided this is where they want to go.

Some of them who are ride enthusiasts have passes, some of them have food passes.

Is there a strategy I should consider ??? It’s looking to be crazy tomorrow

Edit: for context because I forgot . Me and a handful of kids are flying down from seattle to los Angeles and joining the family . So any advice is especially impactful 🙇

All Day on the 4th with a toddler?

Hi, Sorry I know there's a lot of post about going on the 4th but my skim of the first several I saw didn't answer my question.

I'm going to Knott's tomorrow with my bestie and her 3 year old. We're trying to figure out when to arrive- we want to see the fireworks, and spend a good amount of time there but since its just the two of us and the toddler we aren't trying to ride many rides. We're just in it for vibes and food and some of the baby friendly activities.

I've never been to an amusement park where my goal wasn't to ride as many roller coasters as possible lol. Is there enough like shows and kiddie rides to keep us occupied for the full day or should we just come in the afternoon? If we come in the afternoon is there ever like a capacity issue where they stop letting people in? e already have tickets

odd one out

Hi everyone, 20f here!! I’ve never been to knotts before but I’m going tomorrow for my cousins birthday! Super excited, but the only issue is there’s three of us.. I was just wondering what it’s like trying to get on the two seater rides when you don’t have another person? How many people usually go solo? Will I have to wait a while til a solo person shows up to ride the ride with me? It’s been a while since i’ve been to a thing like this haha :,) Thanks!

Not bad wait time today except ghostrider

My recommendation for more thrill shorter wait is silver bullet and DO NOT RIDE ghostrider NOW it have longer wait time so wait later today until drops I recommended get on under 90 mins wait time
