No AC in mazes

Usually I’m a big fan of Knott’s Scary Farm but when I went on Friday, I was so shocked and disappointed by how hot the mazes were. It must’ve been in the 80s outside at night and the mazes were significantly hotter than outside. I was simply walking through in a tee shirt and jeans, and could not fathom how hot the scare actors must’ve been in their costumes, masks and makeup.

Psychic Housewives Episodes

I’ve noticed many franchises have an episode where they do a psychic reading or visit a medium. I’m skeptical of these things and always believe that they say general bullshit that almost every person can relate to in some manner.

In Season 11 Episode 9, Teresa arranges for a psychic with the ladies. Earlier in the episode, we see Dolores scheduling her biopsy as she has been neglecting her own care, prioritizing her philanthropy. She tells Frank and mentions that Italians don’t tell each other stuff, they just deal with it. This is her rationale for not telling her parents about it.

At the reading, the psychic tells Dolores her grandparents are telling her to stop putting it off, get it checked out. She was beyond shook at this since she had only told Frank. Does production feed small details to psychics?

DAE get vibes that dolores fights men?

I’m on season 9 and just had a random thought, I’ve always thought Dolores looked scary in the sense that I would never dare mess with her. She for sure knows how to fight and looks like she would fight a man and win!

Thank you for everything 🩷

Unfortunately, my dog crossed the rainbow bridge today. She was 12.5 years old and lived an amazing life full of love. Although heartbroken, I am at peace and will feel the void forever.

I just wanted to thank this sub for all the support and love you’ve given me and my girl. The sense of community we all give each other is beautiful. I really appreciate each and every one of you.

Got highlights done 4 months ago. Can I highlight my hair at home with a L’Oréal box dye?

I have little to no knowledge about hair and the coloring treatments. I have dark brown hair and got highlights about 4 months ago at the salon with a little bit of bleach. Most of the highlights were done without bleach, and it was more of a gradient effect because I didn’t want the highlights to look crazy when my hair grew out.

I want to refresh the highlights and add more using the L’Oréal Frost Design Highlights dye and then touch up the roots with a root touch up dye so there aren’t any harsh lines at the roots. Is this ok to do? Aside from the fact that any kind of lightening will damage hair, does it make it worse that it was salon highlighted previously? I’m so ignorant with this stuff, please give me advice or input!

Kroger Private Selection 4 Layer Chocolate Cake

I just want to share with everyone how obsessed I am with this chocolate cake. It’s so moist, rich and tasty. It’s not too sweet which I love, and you can buy a whole cake or buy it by the slice in the bakery section at Ralph’s. Only bad thing is that sometimes the slices aren’t available (because I took them all, jk).

Something killed my cat

I went outside to check on my caterpillars and found this. 💔 This batch of eggs was actually surviving and growing, this was the biggest one of the year and this is how I found it. I have noticed a few small spiders nearby the milkweed, but noticed plenty of aphids stuck in the webs. What could’ve killed it?

What is this on my Swiss Chard leaves?

I’ve seen this on one of my leaves before and discarded of it just in case it was some type of pest and now it’s coming back. Should I be concerned?

I hate my permanent retainer

After two years of Spark aligners, I completed treatment and hastily opted to get a permanent scallop retainer on my top teeth.

The day my attachments were taken off, my orthodontist had asked me if I wanted the scallop retainer which would be $600 out of pocket per top or bottom. Since this is my second round of orthodontics and I tend to have an overbite, I decided maybe the top would be worth it.

She said it would only be on the front court teeth and would have to wear a plastic retainer on top of that only at night. I agreed, received my plastic retainer that is included already with treatment and paid the $600. I was told to return two weeks later for installation.

Fast forward to two weeks later which is today, I come in wearing my retainers and the scallop retainer is installed. The doctor is explaining dos and don’ts as far as food to avoid any damage to the scallop. She then takes my original top retainer and replaces it with a flimsy plastic retainer with space to accommodate the newly installed scallops.

Once I got home, I realized how annoying this was in my mouth. My bottom teeth touch the scallops when my mouth is closed and it gives me a lisp. I’m also bothered at the fact that this top plastic retainer is likely to be damaged quickly. Maybe this is my fault for doing zero research on the scallop retainer but I seriously want to get it removed and have a regular retainer made again.

Am I valid for feeling this way? Should I go back and get it removed?

Already July and still no cats

I have a decent tropical milkweed plant that usually gets many cats every summer. This year I’ve had a few eggs, but I haven’t seen a single caterpillar. We usually get yellow aphids but lacewing larvae and ladybugs have been handling that. Is anyone else in the Los Angeles area experiencing the same thing?
