Trying to decide on having another assassin for when Akali is banned. When she’s picked I go Vex cause I played her a bit when I started playing the game some months ago, but I don’t like blinding her, don’t enjoy mages in general.

I’m between Naafiri, Ekko or Diana, also because they’re viable jungle and I need a jungler for autofilled games. I like Ekko the most but I’ve read here that he’s difficult mechanically and I’m set on investing most of my time improving my Akali.

Which one would you choose?

I started playing recently, acct level 38. Recently I’ve been playing only Akali cause she was the champion I liked the most and I really love her identity (have around 80games with her, winrate around 60% between normals and ranked), I know she’s not beginner friendly but I’m good at games overall, so I know I have hands haha. My question is, I’ve been spamming educational content, high elo videos on Akali and reading this sub a lot, and everyone emphasizes keeping cs above 7 cs/min. The thing is, I finish laning with 7-8 cs/min or more (If I stomp lane), but the moment team switch lanes if I keep farming I’m always late to the constant teamfights. At first I tried to ignore random fights to keep farming but then I heard in the broken by concept podcast that in low elo you should not leave your teammates alone, and if they want to ARAM you should follow. I started doing that instead and I’ve been winning a lot more BUT, my cs just falls off completely, down from 7-8cs/min to 5-6 by the end of the game.

Am I just not farming waves at the correct timing or is this expected in my elo?

Recently I watched the Troy grady’s videos about picking, specifically the one on Yngwie and how when he is alternate picking he changes strings only after upstrokes with the pick escape, I was already pretty fast on single string licks or when doing even notes per string, I just didn’t realize why I struggled so much with 3 notes per strings scale rundowns. I already used the pick slanting, without knowing, to pick really fast, so seeing that video and grabbing my guitar was mind blowing, I felt like I unlocked a whole different level of skill; and started to realize how shredders “cheat” trowing some legatos inside fast licks or economy/sweep pick to always get that clean string change.

Do you guys have any other videos that truly unlocked that next level of skill or gave you that small tip that changed everything. It can be on any guitar related technique.
