Adding mods to a server

My friend rented a server from Survival servers (maybe that's the problem) and we are trying to add some mods. None of us are software savvy but im the most capable, so I get to do it. Everything I have tried didnt work so im asking reddit for help now.

Please let me know how you modded your server, or what site you used for your server that made it easy.

Realism based game

Genuine question, is there a server that has realistically accurate creatures? Are there modded versions of any game creatures to modify them back to realistic standards? My friends would be interested in playing super reality based (herbs need herds) PoT if there is a server where that is respected.

Ive seen some servers that have discords with pages of rules that are rarely enforced or difficult for crossplay to report but then have something silly like limiting herd size or restricting combat in an un-natural way (territory claimed or no third party or time out after combat) I do think a less restrictive server could be more realistic and more fun. It honestly feels like a game based on carnivores and herbs are just good enough to let you swap from carnivore for a change of pace before you go back.

Anyone who's played for more than me (4 months maybe) feel similarly? Or different, maybe im missing a lot of other things.

3.0 upgrade

2.6 keeps crashing for me, is 3.0 "safer"? Trying to play vanilla, but 2.6 has always been iffy on stability. Is 3.0 gtg mostly?

Wall of gibberish text

When starting the game and when loading into the world I encounter a massive scrolling wall of text (maybe code and files?) Takes over about 1/3 of the screen. I can only play the game after closing out of it. It doesnt go away on its own. Ive removed all the mods, re-downloaded 2.6 and its still here. Is it possible this is related to why my game crashes frequently?

Mod idea

I have a game mode suggestion. I am very unable to make mods so im hoping somebody knowledgeable can profit from my idea. I'd like to have a game mode where there is a set # of zombies in the world (hordes excluded, maybe they can be found before the horde night moving toward you as a huge mass).

The goal is to clear this area "for resettlement" and to build essential infrastructure to aid (npc) settlers or traders. If you survive and clear all the zombies, you move into a new biome, or into a new city, or maybe a "region" (like a randomized fresh game.) Maybe you start the game with some mid level gear, death is permanent, air drops can contain "revived squadmates" like a paratrooper sort of thing when playing multiplayer.
