for those who went to UIUC for their MSLIS, for my own sanity could you recommend me any profs who aren’t heavy handed on breakout rooms / group projects? or classes/profs that you really liked? 🙂 I’ve had a few not so great experiences so far and am only halfway through my degree. I don’t have anything against break out rooms in general but it feels like pulling teeth with some people and i’m always having to lead which I don’t love. I already know how to work with people considering i’m working FT 🙃 I’m in the LEEP program so it’s kind of hard to make connections w classmates online to get this advice.

does anyone know how to fucking open that dumb thing? I swear i got it half open once but every single fucking time i go in there there is a line of 20 people and i am wrestling and failing with this stupid ass package drop bin for a full 60 seconds of shame while everyone stares at me and wonders if i passed the second grade

morning update: bin didnt budge but i did pass the line while everyone stared at me and threw my package into a gigantic cardboard box behind the counter 🫡 we did it boys

as I was checking my schedule for fall again to confirm class times, one of my graduate classes seems to have disappeared off my registration and into the ether, i assume it’s just been cancelled since I can’t find it at all, which is fine, but I got zero notice that this class wasn’t happening. In undergrad at a diff school they would always email if something like this happened or at the very least get some sort of automated notif so we could prepare otherwise. is this normal for UIUC? 🫪 or am i just supposed to constantly check? lol
