A10TX remote app discontinued?

Hello all,

Just testing some equipment for an upcoming job and it seems the A10TX remote app isn’t available on the App Store anymore. It’s a pity, as it was quite handy for changing settings without bothering talent. Anyone know why it’s gone? I am in the UK if that makes any difference.

Long range modulation issue - Sound Devices A20 RX

Hello all,

I’m trying to use LR Modulation with my A20 receivers / A10 transmitters. For some reason the audio signal becomes way quieter, almost non existent when I switch to long range modulation, as compared to standard modulation.

The receiver is showing all five Q dots and a full, strong signal.

Could be something very simple I’m forgetting here, but any help is much appreciated.

Electrical/shutter issue

Hello - my F3 seems to have developed a problem.

When I slightly depress the shutter button to get a shutter speed reading through the lens - the reading/number stays there permanently (and changes as I move aperture) rather than stopping when I remove my finger. A few seconds later, the display goes blank and the shutter will not fire. I feel like maybe there’s a sticky electrical connection which leaves the display on, and then in turn overwhelms the circuit causing it to give up. I have to wait a while for things to work again, and usually the same problem occurs. Has this happened to anyone here? Thanks in advance!

Anything I can do to help my cheap fridge in hot weather (as a tenant)?

I’m renting a flat where all of the kitchen appliances are the cheapest ones you can get from Argos. I did a big shop to avoid going out too much during the heatwave but it seems that the shite fridge my landlord has provided really can’t deal with the heat. I’m worried all the food will have gone off and I’ve wasted money. The fridge itself is stuffed into a small alcove in the kitchen which probably isn’t helping, but it’s the only space it will fit. Inside the fridge, there’s a layer of ice at the back, but otherwise inside the temperature is 16 degrees on a thermometer in there, and nothing in there is cold. It’s gotten to over 35 degrees in the flat (it gets awful cold in winter).

I am assuming this is a common problem with cheaper refrigerators, and that also I likely can’t get my landlord to do something about it legally, even though this means that when it’s hot I can’t have a working fridge (which feels like a legal requirement?). Occasionally during warmer weather the freezer door will randomly open, defrosting everything if I’m not in to close it soon enough. Let me know what I can do, any help is appreciated!
