Billets pour Avengers Doomsday

Salut !

Films recommandation post-concert?

Okay, so I went yesterday, it was amazing, but now, I just want more. I'm a big fan so I kinda know all the songs.

But I love cinema and so does Abel (right?), so what could I watch to get a similar vibe. It can be films related to him or simply movies that inspired him or have the same vibe.

Ps: I have already watched Hurry up Tomorrow and After Hours (from his album)

Jobs in history

Hi ! I'm a 17 years old girl and I live in France. I really really need your point of view and your personnal experiences.

I have wanted to study history since I was 6, but now that I am older, my family is trying to convince me to change my mind and do something else because it's difficult to find jobs and because it doesn't pay enough. Money is a very important aspect for me, plus, I want to be able to do something beside history, like travelling, having a family, watching films...I asked universities teachers what were their hobbies and they has none except history.

Plus, I feel like history is slowly becoming a hobby and no more the center of my life.

So how is your life ? What studies did you do and what jobs are you doing right now ? And what do you think I should do ?

My mother does not believe me.

I'm a 17 years old girl and semi-diagnosed. At 15, I spent the year learning about autism because I identified with myself in several ways. My mother didn't believe me, but she still saw similarities and took me to see a neurologist.

The neurologist specialized in autism, particularly in women. Tests revealed that I had 5 of the 6 characteristics of autism. According to her, there was a 90% chance that I was autistic. My mother had a hard time accepting it and my father was furious with me; he stopped talking to me for a week. To confirm the diagnosis, I went to see another doctor, a psychiatrist. He didn't even read the balance sheet. At first, he believed me, then he said that I wasn't suffering enough because I didn't have seizures and that I had friends (according to him, it does not disable me enough).

My mother completely stopped believing me and said it was weird that I wanted an autism diagnosis so much, but that I needed one. She agreed with the psychiatrist and stopped talking about it with me, turning everything I said into a joke.

Two years later today I asked her again for her opinion and she said she thought it was just social anxiety and special interests.

I feel like she doesn't know me at all and I feel like an imposter trying to be someone else. I stand by my initial diagnosis and consider myself autistic, but honestly, it's very difficult to see those close to me completely ignore my difficulties and not believe me. Maybe they're right. Sometimes I think I'm not struggling enough, the only big impacts are on my social life.
