2x Mr. Universe Lance Dreher

Lance had one of the most under appreciated physiques in bodybuilding. After winning Mr. Universe twice, he was asked by Joe Weider to compete in the Olympia, but Joe wanted him to move to California and work for him. Lance declined which ultimately led to Weider holding a grudge against him. Lance competed in the Olympia in ‘82 and ‘83 and placed last both times. In seeing his physique, it’s clear this placing was a statement from the Weiders. Lance was eventually banned from the IFBB for doing a charity posing event in England.

What Are Essential Open Mic Songs?

I’ve taken on a gig as the house drummer for an open mic which is super out of my wheelhouse. Pretty well all my time playing has been in original bands so I’m not well versed in covers. I’ve been doing this for a few weeks now and it’s going well, but I’d love to actually learn more common songs rather than just figuring it out as I go.

What are your essential open mic songs?
