Riu Cancun vs Riu Caribe

Im looking to book a trip for 6 adults 3 couples in Jan or Feb 2027. Our age ranges are from early late 20s to early 30s with one couple never having been to an al inclusive. Ideally it would be adults only but i understand the Caribe i not adults only but seems to cater more towards adults from my understanding. that said we are looking for more of a lively/ party atmosphere and good location. The riu Cancun seems to have both of those but the main drawback for me is the rooms seem outdated. the location seems perfect. what do you guys think between these resorts? are the rooms that bad at the riu cancun? if we stayed at the caribe is there too many kids?

what’s everyone’s thoughts/ recommendations?

Group Trip to Mexico.

So im looking to book a trip to mexico for january or february of 2027. There will be 6 adults going 3 couples ages from early 30s to early 40s. Ideally we would be close to the cancun strip or 5th avenue in playa del carmen and adults only. there are a few resorts ive been looking at as options and was wondering what everyone thought/ have any recommendations for alternatives. were looking for a more lively vibe.

so the resorts i was looking at were as follows:

Royalton chic Cancun ( ive been here twice and loved it for the location/beach)

riu cancun ( never been but it has a great location)

Riu Palace panisula ( same as riu cancun)

Ocean riveria paradise el beso ( never been)

Breathless soul cancun ( would love to go but they changed ownership and the times i want to book dont seem to be available)

Hideaway at royalton riveria cancun( went a few years back and that it was good but terrible location for off resort activities)

planet hollywood adult scene( pretty much the same as the hideaway)

for 2 of the people coming with us, this will be thier first time in mexico and they want to do some things like visit isla mujers, coco bongos, xcaret ect…

i really like the royalton chic personally because you can just walk off the resort into the hotel zone but im not sure how that would translate into a bigger group.

whats everyones opinion here/ do you have any recommendations?

booking breathless soul cancun in 2027

i am looking to book breathless soul Cancun for jan or feb 2027. i know they are going through an ownership change. is there any way to book it for that time currently that anyone knows about? or can you recommend similar resorts that are in cancun or playa del carmen? we have stayed at the royalton chic before and enjoyed that but this time we are going with a group of 6. we want adults only and close to the hotel zone.
