Purpose 50 - I received this as a gift (yes very good friend). The initial 2-3 hours is a bit harsh for me. It almost smells like an old church. The incense comes off strong. The dry down, however, after 4 hours is great. Still, I initially regretted opening this as I thought I should have exchanged for Decision (far more versatile IMO) or something else.

I started pairing/layerjng with some others I have in the collection to justify even wearing Purpose 50. Side Effect or Paragon as a second layer subdues the harshensss at outset for me and makes me want to wear P50 more now. I’ll still conclude that P50 is too expensive of a fragrance to not appreciate alone IMO.

I almost feel I need a little lighter layer to combat the strength of P50. Any suggestions?

Bought a smaller size Poets of Berlin and was a bit disappointed. I saw people mentioning it was a fruity gourmand scent.

I got nothing of any blueberry gourmand scent. This was more of a berry cough syrup smell. Drydown was meh. Fortunately, it was not a significant purchase or maybe I just got a bad batch. I’ll give it a few more days. But, sorry not a huge fan.
