Is this Tecnifibre T-Fight 285 V2 in good condition? Especially concerned about this small paint chip
Hi everyone,
I recently bought this Tecnifibre T-Fight Isoflex 285 V2 for 7,500 TL (around $156 / €135). The regular price for this racket here in Turkey is around 15,000 TL (around $313 / €270), so I thought it might be a good deal.
It was sold through a Decathlon clearance/returned/display section, so I don't know its exact history. Overall, it looks barely used to me. The grip doesn't seem worn, the strings look good, and there are only a few tennis-ball fuzz particles on the strings.
I took several photos from different angles so you can see the overall condition.
I'm particularly concerned about the small area where the paint/coating has chipped off on the frame. Please take a close look at that area in the photos.
There doesn't seem to be any dent or deformation around it, and I can't see any cracks extending from the chipped area. The exposed surface also feels dry and rough, almost like a hardened filler/primer, rather than exposed carbon.
Does this look like a purely cosmetic paint chip, or could it indicate some kind of structural damage to the frame?
Also, looking at the racket as a whole, does anything else in the photos look concerning?
Would you personally keep this racket for 7,500 TL ($156 / €135), considering the regular price is around 15,000 TL ($313 / €270), or would you return it?
Thanks!
