Done an impulse thing

So I've got an 06 FZ1 that is on 119k miles and I seem to spend more time fixing it than riding... A neighbour had this on his driveway for sale, so took the plunge.

Apart from him telling me the Gen 5 is the best one, did I do good?

£950. X reg, 60k miles.

Some bits are tatty, has a volt meter installed coz he reckons the rectifiers are dodgy on these. Came with a few spare panels and screens.

Seems to go ok though. Is it going to be as much fun as the FZ1?

Sub throttle flies not moving

To follow on from my last post...

Throttle bodies lifted up and end cover (over the linkage) off.

They don't move and reset on ignition on like they used to.

Should I be able to move them by hand? I can't.

Is the easiest option just to remove the flies?

What would be the downside? (Running original end can)

Or do I need to strip down and grease the linkage, or replace the servo motor?

After some pointers

2006 FZ1 with around 120,000 miles on. (Daily commuter)

Lately, it gets hot very quickly. Within a couple of miles it's up to 90°c, and on a longer journey it'll get to around 105° and the fans kick in and keep it around 100°.

Much hotter than it used to get. There's plenty of coolant, the rad is a bit covered in crud, so figured I'd just clean it out best I can.

But last couple of days, the yellow engine light has been coming on and then going off throughout my ride. When it's on, there's very little power above 5k revs though it will climb slowly. Also sometimes wants to idle at 3k revs with throttle closed.

Engine light is not apparently connected to a certain speed, rpm or load, seems entirely random. Pulling the clutch in and revving doesn't make it go away

Tried to see the ECU code and get 47 and once I saw 48

Is there a problem common to all these faults appearing?

It's still got original can and exup connected, but imagine it's seized open as I'm too lazy to strip it down and grease it. The rotor was replaced about 50k miles ago
